What makes the Lancaster County Community Center Special?
The answer to this question requires a deep dive into the history of the LCCC service area. The center has a rich legacy that hails back to the founding fathers of the Lancaster County Community Center dating back to the early 1960s. Since this era, the LCCC has remained a mainstay for the African-American community. In its early years, the center served as a safe place for the growing African-American community. While the LCCC takes pride its’ meaningful history in the community, it also welcomes the evolving needs of the community and emphasizes that the center is beyond a recreational facility. Today, the LCCC brands itself as a resource center for the community and, as such, evaluates the needs of the community members and implements partnerships and programs to meet those needs.
